ReCon-X™ is a buffered dual-preservative research diluent engineered to support stability-focused laboratory workflows involving sensitive research compounds.

Composition:

• High-purity water base

• Benzyl alcohol (low-concentration preservative)

• Phenoxyethanol (secondary preservative)

• Buffered histidine stabilization system

• Sodium chloride for isotonicity control

Preservative System:

ReCon-X™ utilizes a synergistic dual-preservative system combining benzyl alcohol and phenoxyethanol within optimized low-concentration ranges. These levels are designed to support preservation while minimizing chemical stress on sensitive molecules.

In formulation science, combining complementary preservatives can create a synergistic environment in which each component contributes to overall system stability while remaining at lower individual concentrations.

By distributing preservation across two compatible components rather than relying on a single preservative at higher levels, this approach provides a balanced preservation system intended to help maintain product integrity during laboratory research workflows.

Typical formulation ranges:

• Benzyl alcohol: 0.10–0.25%

• Phenoxyethanol: 0.25–0.40%

• Buffered pH environment: ~5.9–6.1 (X-S formulation)
